Welcome to Super Grocery Mart! The first grocery store dedicated to learning math.
Shopping Cart Game
The shopping cart game helps children learn to associate numerals with quantities. ‘3’ means 3 things, ‘5’ means 5 things, and so on. A shopping list is presented and it’s up to the child to drag the right number of items into the cart.

Once they fill up the cart, pressing ‘Done’ will either wiggle the cart indicating something is wrong, or confetti will drop down and the cart will drive off the screen, revealing a new cart and new grocery list.
As your child gains proficiency with filling up the cart, the cart will begin to arrive partially filled. It’s up to the child to fill in the remaining items. Then once they’ve mastered that, the cart will occasionally arrive containing more of some items than the shopping list calls for. This begins getting children used to the idea of subtraction as they remove items from the cart also.
Comparison Game
Once children have started to get the hang of the grocery game, they can try their hand at the comparison game. In this game, two groups of items have been scattered on the floor, and it’s their job to say which one is bigger.

It starts off easy with small numbers of items that are more different in sizes, but as the child progresses the counts get higher and closer together, requiring actual counting. Once the child gets tired of counting they can start to look at the numerals underneath to build a sense of which numerals are bigger than others.
